In the activity of idea, there is time interval between doer and deed, between idea and implementation. Activity takes place according to a pre-conceived pattern. Activity belongs to external world wherein the separative psyche “I” indulges in acquisition. It is the world of going out to get and grab. And time interval is therefore a necessity in this centrifugal dimension which also involves motive and direction. Here seeking operates along with the division between seeker and sought.
In the action of intelligence, there is profound perception from moment to moment and time does not intervene between the perceiver and the performance. Here seeing is doing instantaneously. In the internal world, insight into the fictitious fragmentation called “I” and abandoning it is indeed important. Giving up and going empty, thus ending the divisive “I”, is the phenomenon in the centripetal dimension. Time is totally redundant to drop the “I”. Ending of the virtual image, called “I”, is the emergence of intelligence which is real. If time sneaks in under the garb of an idea and method of dropping, then “I” would still assert and perpetuate blocking the awakening and performance of Intelligence.
Understanding of “I” is the undoing of “I” and the unfolding of intelligence. This is a timeless spring. This freedom from time is the greatest enlightenment.
